This spring, a group of student engineers from Lipscomb’s Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering went where none before them have gone. They placed in the top ten in the nation in the 18th annual NASA Student Launch Competition.
It was an unusually hot June day with near record-breaking temperatures in Nashville, but that didn’t curb the enthusiasm of a group of about 80 students from J.E. Moss Elementary School who visited the Lipscomb campus Friday, June 15, to celebrate reading.
Pete Gunn, member of the Lipscomb University Board of Trustees and friend of the institution, died Wednesday morning, June 13 at the age of 75 at his home in Kentucky following a lengthy illness.
This summer Lipscomb University welcomes more than 800 new students on campus for Advance, a two-day orientation led by the 2018 Quest Team leaders.
On June 7, Tracy K. Smith delivered the John T. Willis Plenary Address at the Thomas H. Olbricht Christian Scholars’ Conference. Smith is the 2017-2018 U.S. poet laureate and a professor of creative writing at Princeton University.
As part of Lipscomb University’s Global Apprentice Program, 36 students in the College of Business and the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering spent the Maymester studying in Esslingen, Germany.
